Did you know, that the Fae folk come in all shapes & sizes, and reside in many a dimension? Most of us are familiar with the sweet petites as I like to call them, the ‘traditional’ tinkerbell type fairy🧚‍♀‍; though in truth, that tradition was established much later in our histories than many believe.

Throughout the world and throughout tradition, fae (an umbrella term meant to represent many a magickal creature), have established contact with us in many forms from the tall to the teeny. In the Philippines, these are known as diwata. In Celtic and Euro-Western traditions, they are known as Fae or Faeries. The spelling ‘fairy’, is most often associated with winged pixies, nymphs, or small sprites.

Whatever you call them, wherever they’re from, Fae are almost always connected with some form of nature; and are in most cases themselves Elementals, or a part of the Nature Spirit realm. This is why we are often able to sense, see, or interact with them, when we ourselves are within/connecting with, and respecting nature, as they tend to pop in and out of the dimensions and our perceptions most easily, when we are doing so. Fae can visit us or reside inside, but most aren’t entirely comfortable there, or in our constructed dwellings. This is often when they will get up to mischief, to attract our attention (*mine like to move my crystals around for fun, or as a reminder not to overuse them ;).

Fair warning before you engage with the fairer folk – not all are fair or friendly. Some are really best left to their own devices. All require and are worthy of our respect. Knowledge + a relationship with your other guides {to sus-out who is truly friendly and who is not}, is highly recommended when attempting to engage in contact.
